Topic: Langham Crystal Paperweight

Hi, your expertise is required on this Langham Crystal Paperweight.   Just below the label is etched ENGLAND.  My feeling is, that they maybe a signature under this label.   I could be totally wrong.  On some of the other paperweights I've seen by Langham are usually on the side of the paperweight.   

Approx. 10cm in height. The base dia. is approx. 3cm and polished.  This area still shows horizontal lines where a tool has been used.  This may not be clearly visible on pictures taken.   Any ideas as to the age, that's if confirmed a Langham Glass?

You could just ask them http://www.langhamglass.co.uk/ but it looks fine to me

Most Langham Paperweights are acid etched or sand etched Langham England on the base and the labels are on the side.
The words Langham and England are usually one under the other,  so the word Langham is possibly under the label. 
Most signed pieces have Paul Miller's signature, and I would have imagined that this would be seen either side of the label if it was a signed piece. 
I suspect that the label was moved to the base so that it did not interfere with the design when the paperweight was on display.
Have you tried looking down onto the weight to see if you can see any further writing through the glass?  This should be quite easy to do as it is not a very complicated multicolour design.

If all this hasn't helped,  then as Christine suggests,  ask Langham Glass House,  I have always found them to be very helpful and friendly.

Yes, I've tried looking down the glass at all angles, but unable to see anything due to the design.   I will contact Langham Glass as Christine has suggested Rosie.  Having posted this paperweight some time ago (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,49687.msg282924.html#msg282924), prompted me to check the authenticity of any Langham paperweights I do have.   So thank you all for you help.   Very much appreciated.
