I agree too. Sent an email saying as much. Good of him to help.
Anne, I have asked for permission and will let you know.
I will take a look at the steamer possibility.  Thanks all, will let you know if I find anything.
Pete. :-)

Well here I am trying to research 6 small whisky glasses that I bought at auction.............
all marked as above to the base and every one with a label -'Hand cut crystal, WAVERLEY Made in Scotland'.
Anyone ever find out anything - and do you still require a pic of the label?

Hi jayjay, I never did find any more than the what is here about the. I have since had a few more of these, only the whisky glasses, and they still intrigue me. An answer may come to light eventually. I would like to see the sticker. I might try again to see what I can dig up. Sorry for the late reply.
Pete. :-)

Looks to me as if Waverley is a refinery, not a manufacturer. They would have bought the blanks from Edinburgh Crystal; there are several other brands on the market operating in the same manner. Every time I pass by a tourist shop another brand seems to have sprung up.

I have since found a few more of the glasses in two different sizes. Edinburgh stopped using that mark so is it ok for another company to adopt it with a small change from Edinburgh to Waverley. Nice to get an answer though. Thanks for that.

Added. It is very good quality crystal and nicely cut. I think it would be a chance more went to America and the rest of the tourists
