What is the going rate to bribe the postie?
« on: May 24, 2013, 06:55:57 AM »
Hi All,
does anyone know who bought the Whitefriars Large Owl on Light Blue from Selmans yesterday?

I spent the day shopping with my wife for her birthday. Had a nice time. Arrived home at 8pm to find Selmans' spring catalogue in the post. Flipped through to back and WOW! A WF large Owl on LB is rare enough, but for $525 !! Picked up phone after checking web site, BUT it had sold that morning (US time) so about 2-3PM UK time. Apparently came back to UK and I was the third potential buyer.

A bit surprised that Selmans were unaware of the going rate for a WF Owl. Frustrated at being so close, and now contemplating employing the postie to open my mail and ring me if there are any bargains like this one !!!

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY !  It was THIS BIG !!!

Enjoy your hunting.
