Victorian Yellow and Red Glass Handled Basket

Hello,

Have just got this,  Its got a custard yellow glass with a deep pink cranberry inclusion cased in clear with a highly polished concave pontil base. Clear applied thorn handle. 8.5 inches wide x 7 inches in height.

Any help apprecated

These things are nigh on impossible to ID. Bohemian and perhaps Harrach might be an option or it might be English. It's not cased in clear either, the clear is applied to the rim. You may find the yellow is uranium glass. I have three different baskets with thorny handles

Thanks for your advice.

Strange thing i used the uv pen light on it expecting some green glow but instead like a yellow orange i will have to wait until its dark and see what it looks like under uv tube.
I suspect the uv pen light was just illuminating its natural colour.

Yes, a closer look and feel of the lip and your right it is applied.

Looking around the net is misleading ive seen bowls of the same colour but different shape referred to as Webb, Stevens And Williams and Sandwich Glass Company Tomato Glass. 

Ill do some more delving on Harrach/Czech glass baskets.

The orange glow means cadmium, so you won't get a different result in the dark. If you have to be in the dark to see a green glow then it isn't uranium anyway.
