Orrefors Bottle
« on: June 16, 2013, 01:46:05 PM »
Here is an Orrefors bottle/decanter with stylised animal - marked Orrefors to base and a name I can't make out. Any help appreciated

A theory: "Orrefors MR Sommarkollektion 08", which could then possibly mean that it is part of a summer collection designed by Martti Rytkönen in 2008. That would however not be a standard form marking for Orrefors, so if it is from Orrefors it is probably something that came into the market in some unconventional way...

That scans - MR for Martti Rytkonen and it looks like an 08. And summer collection - I can't find anything similar googling any of the details you give. Strange. However, as you say it may not be usual production. Anyone else any ideas?
