Adam - fantastic finds!  

Do you know if Magnor marked all their glass?  I had a piece quite some time ago which I was led to believe was Magnor -  a lovely deep red bowl with thick polished rounded edge, but it wasn't marked.  I'm never sure whether these pieces are Scandinavian or Murano.  Similar type bowls crop up on ebay but are often described as being Murano.  I'd forgotten about Magnor, so thanks for the wakeup call

Jane Charles comes up on web as working from Newcastle these days – I wonder if there if there is more than one Jane Charles, some sites show highly sculptural items, while others show ranges of hand made glass

Hi Anne, I don't know that much about Magnor, I think my piece is 1970s but they are still going strong, I think they have always been situated near the Swedish border in Norway, last piece I had was marked but I don't know the complete history ref this

Just for interest's sake I thought I should mention that I have visited Magnor Glasverk. It is a just "stone's throw" from Eda Glasbruks. The Swedish - Norwegian border lies between them. Magnor is very close to the border - it's open to visitors and has an interesting little glass musuem with a few old moulds on show.

It looks idyllic from some pictures I have seen.

I was wanting to ask you about a pressed glass shoe I posted a week ago (as an example), it was bought along with above items for £2.00.

You may already have seen the post - but I will repeat here .......

Pressed glass shoe in amberina - very well made with no nasty mould lines, also had a lot of built up dirt when found and shows some age wear.

I think it is a match holder with the strike pad on the bottom or sole of the shoe (pic 2)
5.25" long, 2.5" tall - opening is 3"long x 1"wide x 1.2"deep

I know that Fenton (and L G Wright for Fenton) have made Daisy Button shoes in "amberina" but I don't know the item(s) well enough to say if they are similar to yours (although they do look alike, but the photos I have in the L G Wright book are small).

There's only one Jane Charles as far as I know. She is a very highly rated artist. She does do sculptural work as well as perfume bottles and the coloured blanks for Julia Linstead.

I will need a picture of the front of the shoe.  I need to see the detail of the toe and middle section of the toe as it goes to the lip.  A picture of the bottom would help also.  There were several makers of these shoes and they can be hard to differentiate.

I found where Boyd was/is making shoes in this pattern with the bow.

But I also found this one which states Kanawha with label.  This is new to me.  I didn't know that Kanawha ever made slippers/shoes  :?
