If I were a wagering man I'd wager this would be answered over in the GMB 'Murano & Italy Glass' forum.   ;)

It may not be Murano but that's what jumps out at me from the pics.  If you use search terms like: gold aventurine fleck swirl bowl ... in your image searches you might run across some quite similar.   The fact that yours is a pure bowl form and not an all-so-common ashtray form makes it more interesting to me anyway.

Are the flecks more gold color or more copper color?   Is there any age wear on the base?  And is that a little bruise I see in the third photo?

PS a similar bowl in blue http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MURANO-COBALT-BLUE-GOLD-SWIRL-HEAVY-GLASS-BOWL-ITALIAN-ART-STUDIO-VINTAGE-RETRO-/350775881370?nma=true&si=GFXhkvdw1TgQHu9MAypPPsNdvm0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

That is definitely gold leaf not Aventurine and I would say Murano for sure and probably Seguso of one of the the other top makers.

I too would say it is Murano but just because someone says it is Murano on ebay does not mean it is unless there is a label or a quoted reference. Ebay is the worst place for reliable attributions. Much Murano on ebay has never even passed through Italy

A freind has one of these in green. To quote Ivo "Murano for sure and probably Seguso" - that's as close as we could get it too.
