Genuine Battuto Vases?
« on: July 20, 2013, 01:10:44 AM »
I have recently seen this color combination at various auction sites advertised as Genuine Murano Battuto. Was just wondering if anyone recognizes these from a known maker, or from one of the more spurious Indian/Chinese makers. Thnx for looking.

You're asking the wrong question. Yes they are genuine battuto because that is just a technique. What you really mean is are they Murano

A bit suspicious that there's no photo of the bases. Presumably there's no mention of either of them being signed. I such cases I'd assume Chinese until proved otherwise.

Are these your own images or are they from an auction or other website? If they aren't yours then we'll need to delete them, unless you have specific permission from their owner to add them here. You can add links to them on other folks' sites, instead of attaching their images.

sorry about that, they are from 2 different auction sites so you can delete. was curious because they both went up for sale within 2 weeks of each other. thought it was perhaps a new Murano line.

Thanks for confirming it, do you want to add links to the sales instead?
