Hi ~ I've recently bought a very pretty pressed glass lamp base as part of a job-lot from a house clearance auction. On the reverse of the base is a tiny Fleur-de-lys maker's mark. I'd be grateful for any info about the maker. Thanks, Polly.

Hi,
I also have an item with a Fleur-de-lys mark, but also has "France" underneath. I am very confused by it because the piece that has the mark is a Murano item. Info would be appreciated.

Hartmann, only shows Steuben, Hawkes, Stevens & Williams as using a fleur-de-lys, but only S&W used it alone, circa 1880.

Can you post an image of the marks?

Glad to be back...
Here's the fleur-de-lys mark my paperweight has:

Forgive me if I am wrong in calling it a "fleur-de-lys," but that was included in the description when I bought the piece.
The figure or paperweight is of a standing Bird, that I have seen attributed to Barbini before, so I am under the inpresion it is a Murano piece. I wasn't sure why the mark was there in the first place, or was it added later for export to France??? Maybe I have been mistaken all along and my piece is actually French?

I would also like to see if the mark on mysterious-bouffant's lamp is the same as mine.

I think that in the original message I had raised a query on the mark about whether it could have been "Venice" rather than "France".
