Preety vaseline side dish art-nouveau design uranium also????
« on: August 16, 2013, 03:42:49 PM »
Ive had no luck tracking down this piece what so ever so far so thought id try and let some of the board vaseline glass experts take a look if you dont mind, I feel this may be a side dish from a larger set of dishes and large bowl but very unsure at present, It has uranium in the bottom section and glows well. The piece measures 7" wide 3" tall. Ive looked but havent found an impressed mark such as sowerby etc.....Feels a beauty in your hand...

Northwood, Indiana, Pa., USA, late 1890s. The pattern is typically called Inverted Fan and Feather, but original nomenclature was probably just a number. The item you picture was made from the mould for the spooner in the table set.

Thankyou James for your attribution i was looking at a little book called victorian coloured glass by william hancock and had just spotted some northwood pieces in it with similar feet, But to get an attribution so precise is lovely very kind  ;D
