small murano vase
« on: August 16, 2013, 04:53:34 PM »
Hi all,it's murano week for me and i'm confident this is due to the fact the small vase shows a view of Venice  ::),it might be tourist tat in it's time, but if it's brush work in the same method as ceramic lustre ware then it's top class tat!decorated by a very good craftsman, does anyone know about this type of work, many thanks..

It's silver applied with a stencil or transfer. A gentle rub might remove the tarnish
