Huge Pink Glass Bought in France
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:58:56 PM »
hi, I just came back from France and bought this in a kind of boot sale market, it really caught my eye. Its got some name on the base but its so light I can hardly see it and it just looks like scrawl, it might start with an F or a G its hard t make out - anybody got any clues as to what it is - its very large, almost a foot high.

Hi and welcome to GMB,

sorry, I´m really not good with these things, but should I have to guess I´d lean towards
relatively contemporary romanian - but that´s just a guess...  :)

Hi and welcome to the board!

Sometimes it takes a little patience until the right person views your request :)
A picture of the signature would certainly help.
Try to take several photographs at different angles, if one turns out ok it will be fine.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about this style, but it reminds me of some Romanian glass...
For instance pieces by Ian Tamaian >> Link

edit: Dirk was faster ;D

Agree with Dirk "contemporary romanian" was exactly what I was about to say.
