Topic: What are these any clues

Does anybody know what these are there are 12 in total , flowers inside a glass casing, with a metal rim and some sort of fitting as if they would slot into something, they measure just over 1 inch in length , they look to have some age, but as to what they are called or used for I have not got a clue

Something to do with buttons? Probably something to do with dress, anyway. Just a guess.

bit puzled by the pics - top thre look like 1/4 of an egg (the band across the top), but the last one looks more like 1/2 an egg (from the shape of the botom) - are they all the same shape ?

[i've no idea what they are   , just trying to get a mental picture)

They are all the same shape and style ,just different colours, the last picture taken from different angle , the flowers are all encased in solid glass

I've looked at the only bag I have with a clasp, and although it is a modern one, it looks pretty much the same basic design.  The metal bit at the bottom, in your last pic. would fit into the metal frame of the bag.  The horizontal indentation is where it would meet the other 'bit' on the opposite side of the frame.  This would fit inside the horizontal indentation when closed/clasped together .....    I think

Aren't these place holders for a table set?  In the Victorian days they would put cards with their guests names in elegent little holders (the Victorians had something for everything!).
