This piece was in a local antique mall. It stands at 11 inches in height and has a small, but very nicely polished pontil. Although not visible in the image of the bottom, there is also some flat ground and polished areas indicative of earlier cold room work to insure a level sit.

The first image shows the color the best, although it is still a little more to the Lavender direction that it shows. There is also a subtle opalescent look to the glass in the neck also. The neck has a fire polished rim, and the dark area of the rim in the pic is a reflection and not really there.

Any suggestions as to maker or region are welcome. I lean towards Bohemian on it, and definitely think it is not Italian....  other than that I am clueless.

TIA
Craig

Beautiful, and with quality, IMHO

I'd research Meijdam, Kastrup and Empoli.

Ivo: When I search Meijdam, I come up with Floris Meydam, who I own a piece by in a long neck bottle.....  Is this the same thing - different spelling? or different company altogether?

Empoli aned Kastrup turned up nothing similar I could find.

I happened to run into this piece on ebay, and the seller gave permission to post images here. In person the glass on my piece are quite similar to this piece is shading and colors.  Thought it may give a clue if someone recognized it.

One difference is that this piece has a snapped pontil, and not polished, but that could be due to the legs interfering with equipment to grind and polish.
