Triangular vase. Czech?
« Reply #10 on: September 12, 2006, 01:43:07 PM »
FANTASTIC! I picked one of these (triangular) up in a retro stand at Spitalfields market the weekend before last, guessing it was Sklo Union. Always so good to read more information. Thank you Marcus!

Triangular vase. Czech?
« Reply #11 on: October 18, 2006, 10:12:16 AM »
Hi,
Please could any of you who have this vase, in both square and triangular variants, confirm that the relief patterning on the triangular version, is significantly more pronounced, and possibly different to, the square variant? Also that the wall thickness is also much heavier than the square version?

There is NO question of it being from a different company.

Thanks in advance,
Marcus

Up-date on these and a correction....
ALL the "Moravia" vases are pattern 1502, irrespective of the shape.
There does not appear to be any indication by letter or other means, of shape.
The "bark" pattern is significantly less pronounced on the square form, than on both the cylindrical and triangular versions. The walls of the square version are also much thinner.
The correction is CLS item 289, which is the cylindrical 250mm version, not square, as I suggested earlier in this thread.
Regards,
Marcus
