Vibrant red Strathearn bowl
« on: October 04, 2013, 04:10:38 PM »
The 2nd of 2 pieces that caught my eye today. I don't even know really why I bought it because these things don't normally sell well for me. I actually paid more than I should have for me to possibly make any profit.
I do actually know why I bought because I like and believe me that doesn't happen very often and I think it was the colour it's so vibrant.
So just thought I would share it here :)

I still think Strathearn is highly under-rated.
It is such colourful glass - particularly the reds, which are always so well set off, against the darker bits.

I agree, some pieces of Strathearn are stunning, and like a lot of things a lot of the time it comes down to how much you like the piece and not what its worth, I have paid over the value for pieces in the past because I really liked it and had to have it , though not very often , usually I get them well under their value lol
