IDENTIFY PLEASE?
« on: October 11, 2013, 07:34:19 PM »
??? I bought this in a charity shop today for £1.50..... Because I like it - it's different.... I think it might be milk glass? But I would like to know a bit about it...
Thanks in advance. :) x
Red.

some people are not on here all the time be a little bit more patient. they might even have looked and are trying to find it to make sure they are right before making an arse of themselves. and useing caps means your shouting and thet may just stop them from helping you

Patience is a virtue.

I've not seen anything like that before so I can't help at this point in time, but if I come across something like it in the future then I'll let you know.

Thirded and an unhelpful title means some people won't even look - this is an ID board...

Firstly, I didn't realise caps lock was on - apologies.
Secondly, as I freely admit to not knowing a lot about makers etc, I just buy what catches my eye, so was at a loss as to what to put in the title.... what would you suggest?
Thirdly, I appreciate that people are not on here all the time - my comment about there being no replies was a throw-away comment as I had been excited that there seemed to be people out there who know their glass and might be able to help...
Alas.... Offense was not intentional.

Milk glass jug ID please would have been fine, though it's not milk glass, as that is generally opaque. A base shot would be good too please. We always like base shots and dimensions

pretty sure it might be Empoli, Opalina Fiorentina (Italian - poss '70s?), but will need to dig out a reference to check, however that foot reminds me of an Aseda vase I have.
I'll have a look around.

This is mine and I believe yours is the same maker.
I'm sure I found a labelled version at some point and Empoli is right.
