They've been there since 2008 and have been available since 2009, although the cataloguing meant that it wasn't until early 2010 (from memory) that some of the records could be easily accessed. I have spent many hours studying them and have taken over 10,000 photos of various documents. I even mention Sandwell Archives on my website.

You can also read a blog of the first archivist's records (Laura Brett) here.

There's a photo of me here when Laura reached the end of her stay. Sir Jeremy Chance, who's been very supportive of my work, presented Laura with a lovely (and rare) Blue Roset plates.
