Topic: Greek Glass Vase 1939 World's Fair New York - help with signature

Looking for help with the signature/maker of this Scavo-type vase with a US Customs label from the New York Worlds Fair (1939). It has a signature which can be seen plainly - I'm assuming it is in Greek script, because the base bears the inscription "Hand Made In..." and the last word is underneath the US Customs sticker. Shining a bright light into the bottom of the vase below the sticker - it appears to say (backwards of course) "Greece".

I have only found one other photo of this type of glass identified as "Greek Scavo Amphora" - it was on a Pinterest board, and there was no clue where it came from. Does anyone have any idea who made this vase?

A pair of lights realised a lot of money at Christie's  - no pics but the description sounds as though they were similar to the bowl and vase in decoration

It would help to have better photos of your vase against a plain white background as it's difficult to see if the glass looks the same and if the enamelling on it is the same colour.
None of the Lipasmata pieces seem to have the same kind of signature writing on the bottom as your vase though, however it if was for an exhibition then perhaps it would have been signed differently?

I found this in the Corning collection.
The vase is id'd as Oxyal.

The description quoted from the Corning is as follows (note it says 'slightly iridescent surface' but the photo doesn't show that at all well):

'Colorless glass; blown, matte, possibly acid-etched, slightly iridescent surface. Amphora shape, with two applied handles extending from shoulder to just below flared rim; rounded rim; etched and brown enamel surface decoration consists of abstract geometric motifs: lines, circlets, triangles, frets, etc. in friezes; signed on base "Hand-Made in Greece/Oxyal/12178/ [illegible signature]".'
