Hallo there - I wonder if you can help. I found this paperweight a few years ago - liking it because of the big pink flower and forgot about it until recently. I've no idea who made it and wonder whether you can help. Best Regards Pinky

...oops and the base. The paperweight is about 5 inches high - rather worn.

It's a modern Chinese weight.

Gosh, yes!    It's clearly modern Chinese.  The top bit is a standard "dime-a-dozen" (I've got one like this.  I happen to like them - they are quite pretty, as you say!   ) and they have obviously added it to a pillar and foot!  I've not seen that done before!    You learn something every day!

Sorry to have got your hopes up, Pinky

....thank you lovelies. Knew you'd be able to help::)). Don't mind at all that it's a dime-a-dozen. Since you'd not seen one before with a pillar and foot I'm chuffed to bits. PinkyX

It's a very unusual one Pinky, and as neither Leni nor myself have seen anything like it before, it's worthwhile keeping as it's so different.
Women and cats will do as they please,
and men and dogs should get used to the  idea.
