Topic: Degenhart Not a Gearshift? Strange PW

I have this paperweight, it was listed as a gear shift knob, but I am sure its not.  The base is solid no hole in it, no brass it is ground smooth.  I do think its degenhart, but have never seen one like it or even similar?  any info would be helpful.

You don't state the dimensions.  If it is about 2" in diameter, it was intended as a gearshift knob.  If it is closer to 3 1/2" in diameter, it was intended as a grave marker.  Some gearshift knobs were not finished with the metal hardware because of an error on the name or logo.  For example, I used to have one for Texaco Gas, but the name was spelled TAXACO.  I've had three of these "mistakes", but sold them all to a knob collector. 

As for the Degenhart attribution, it looks like a Degenhart to me, but is missing the blue border on the plaque.  It does have the four icepick flowers near the plaque.

It is 5 inches tall, and 9 inches from where it is attached to the bottom stand, this is the measurement from under neath to the other side underneath.  Diamiter is hard to do, because of the stand part, but its 3 /12 to 4 inches.  The bottom is completely finished and polished does look as though it was meant to be part of the PW.   The stand part is somewhat smaller than the gearshift knob I think it measures 1 1/2 inches tall.  from the bottom to where its attached to the PW, it really looks as thought its all piece.

The 9 inches is measured  from the bottom where its attached to the stand, and over the top to the other side under neath where its attached to the stand.

I don't understand what you are measuring.  Diameter is the width across the widest part.  If you don't have a caliper, place it between two boxes and measure the difference between the two boxes. 

If it is really 3 1/2" to 4" in diameter, then it is a grave marker.

It is almost 4 inches in diamiter and 5 inches tall
