I was looking through my 1890s Salviati at Stanford University book and saw some iridescent pieces. They also have some latticework pieces. I wish I could see the bottom of some of these things. (The Barovier brothers made glass for Salviati during this time.)

Oh thanks Anita

I did find this one in the Museu del Vetro - I think it is slightly iridescent but difficult to tell.

Yes it's a pet hate of mine that I get books and then none of the pictures shows the base ... very irritating.  I've been trawling through Murano bowls and having to try and enlarge the pics, as if they are transparent enough pieces you can see the pontil mark.  MVM Capellin pieces also have this type of pontil mark for example.  But I don't see that pontil on older English glass or Bohemian glass, although I'm sure there are always exceptions  to the rule.  The iridescence is different as well.  It's very subtle, different to any Bohemian glass I've had or seen, and not the same as any English glass I've found.

Thanks so much for delving through your resources for me.  I really appreciate it.
