Hi,nice pics, is the amber trailing just decorative on the sides? i.e. not an animal/lizard of any sort?
Just interested to know but my first thought would be Harrach and Bohemian for your vase :)

Ok thanks for that, no, there is no animal trailing to the sides, do you think the date is right? I'll have a look into this harrach glass, it's unbelievable just how much coloured glass is linked to bohemia, my local glass museum is full of it and most of it is British.

How fabulous to have a local glass museum - which one are you near if you don't mind divulging ... I wish I lived nearer the V&A or Broadfield House - either would do nicely  ;D
Well I could be wrong and it might not be Bohemian.  The cut and bevelled and polished rim with the mold blown base, as well as the colour of the glass and the amber trailing with the wishbone trailing at the bottom makes me think it's a possible.
Hopefully someone else will be along soon who might have a definite for you :)

Here's one just for you to compare, with a trailed rim and different decor/shape but similar colours including that blue I think

Perhaps it's the wishbone trailing, but it did immediately remind me a bit of Lustrousstone's "Ugly beast" cornucopia, which somebody suggested might be Harrach. I thought the shade of amber (very greeny) was the same too; and the unusual way the trailing is done... :)

Most such glass found in the USA is more likely to be Bohemian than British. Most IDs are wishful thinking.

Broadfield house is ten minutes from where i live, on the ground floor is a breathtaking room full of coloured cameo glass, it's a privilege to see it.

yes, it's amazing :)

The V&A likewise for a range of glass from many countries.  I wish I lived a stone's throw. Such great inspiration and research available.  Broadfield House have lots of books!  worth going and asking if they have the recent Harrach book and having a look through.
