Topic: Engraved lidded powder pot, maybe American?

I'm not sure what this is for, it has a violet tinge to the glass and wear to the base, i keep coming across the same colour with this type of glass and the same designs, it looks like Pall Mall but older it's 5 inches in height and 5 1/2 inches in width, no makers marks, i'm not sure of age or maker any help would be welcome. I have just looked that up, it's either old or been placed in a uv lit box for a few weeks, this one looks old, age wear to the outer rim, small chips to the inner rim of the lid i can't seeing anyone going to the trouble to make this look old, it's not worth anything, yet again i have learnt something new.
