LOETZ era Burgundy Swirl vase Id??? ID = Kralik
« on: January 20, 2014, 09:35:01 PM »
This vase was described as Loetz.
Have researched and only found similar colors in Kralik,
but no similar shape.
There is a silver rim around the top.
Purchased at an antique store in USA South Carolina.

Any and all information is greatly appreciated,
Tony

Would really like verification, or at least an opinion,  by one of the experts on this site "Glass Message Board".

I do not put a lot of trust on some Ebay sellers descriptions.

Yes, that was my first stop...What I found was one example "Burgundy Swirl on Gold" that did match color, but nothing that matched shape or with a silver band.

Well that seems to me to be a match for the decor :)

Is there nothing on any other of the decors to match the shape? If not, hopefully Craig will look in and be able to help further on the shape for you.

I went through the site pretty well, though I could have missed it, for these old eyes are not what they used to be.

Thank you for your help thus far.

No problem - as I say hopefully Craig will see the thread and be able to comment on the shape but that looks like a definite decor match to me.

The piece appears to me to be Kralik. As far as shape goes, they likely had a huge number of shapes.  Nice example....
I have been told that glass is my mistress......
