Sindorf ‘Anita’ trinket set pieces.
« on: January 31, 2014, 04:30:00 PM »
Some amber glass pieces from a trinket set made in Germany by the Sindorf Glass Works.

(Permission for the re-use of these images on the GMB granted by Antwiek).

They are part of the Sindorf ‘Anita’ trinket set, and appear in their 1935 catalogue. See:
http://www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de/archiv/pdf/pk-2008-1-01w-mb-sindorf-pressglas-1935.pdf

The perfume flask is pattern no. 510 and measures 14cm high (including stopper and is about 6cm square;  the comb tray no. 514 is 23 x 8cm; the pot (which is missing its lid, by the way) seems to be no. 529 and measures 9 x 8 cm x 6cm high.

Anne lists the pieces on her GTS site at
http://www.glasstrinketsets.com/cms15/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=119&Itemid=105
but has no photos.

Fred.

Here is a photo of a smoky-topaz glass lidded pot in the same pattern. I don’t have the size for this lidded pot but it seems to be either 528 or 514.

(Permission for the re-use of this image on the GMB granted by steptoe*).

Does anyone have photos of other pieces from the set, or examples of pieces in other colours, please? – the catalogue gives the colours as white [presumably clear?], yellow, blue, rose, smoky-topaz and green.

Fred.

Here's a pink bottle # 510, sadly with additional wheel cut  :(

Wow! That's super, thanks Fred and Chris Maisey for allowing us to use the image here and on GTS.  It's just missing the comb tray!
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
