Rosenthal home designs
« on: February 10, 2014, 10:07:05 PM »
Can anyone help with these smoke glass bowls which have a sandblast mark on the base "ROSENTHAL home designs".  According to Ivo's fact file, their sandblast mark dates back to the 1990s so I'm guessing these bowls do just that ???

I'm not even sure what they are meant to be used as.  They are are 3½" high with a 3½" diameter opening, which seems a bit small for desert bowls.  I know Rosenthal employed designers from Scandinavia, and these remind me very much of Saara Hopea Marja cocktail glasses which are smaller in size.

I've googled Rosenthal home designs, but without success.
Any thoughts would be most welcome ;)
