A few more interesting pieces from American artists
« on: February 17, 2014, 03:59:11 AM »
Here are a few more interesting items. Some of my favorites.

The flat pink crimped rose is from, of all studios, GES Glass Eye Studio. I would describe GES as less a studio, and more a factory. However they make very nice reasonably priced pieces, all hand made, so even the same piece is a little different from another of it. I kind of think of them as the Caithness of the US. This is a very unusual piece from them, I've never seen anything even close from them.

The blue flowers weight is from Lotton Studios, that's Charles Lotton (the father of the family). He has four son's all who are considered top tier on their own, plus a nephew (Jerry Heer) and a grandson, both extremely well regarded. Lotton would fall high in the top 10 of American studio glass of the last 40 years.

The blue column is a very pretty piece by Hot Island Glass of Maui, Hawaii. Again, a studio that is not on the top 10 list, but very well respected, and collected.

I hope you enjoy these.

by the way, the rose is about 5" across, the column 5" tall, and the lotton 3" across.
