Uranium Freeform
« on: February 21, 2014, 07:56:58 PM »
Hi, I have 3 pieces that I would like some help with. This is a Uranium piece approx 25cm in height. It has a smooth polished base. As with the other two I will list separately they all say Murano. This I would say is Murano but have no idea of a Maker and 1950's in date. All comments welcome - ish  :) Thanks
Pete. :-)

Will have a look but after hours non stop looking at web page after web page and thousands of pictures I have not got a definite answer but have identified a piece seen in a Charity shop as from Skrdlovice, now I need to remember which shop it was ?? Thanks Rosie

I am quite sure that the one in the link is not Skrdlovice, rather Mstisov/Karlovarske sklo >> Link to Wayne's site

Sorry, can't help with your green bowl...

The Uranium piece I thought would be the easier one of the three but the search just gets wider. I don't like to mislead in my listings so will keep looking for now. Thanks for the help so far everyone.

   Hope I did this link ok. I came across this piece. Did not think Scandinavian glass.  I think it's the right age and shape. I will look into it further. I'm not saying my piece is Scandinavian, just another place to look for now. Any comments welcome.

Hi Pete,  as the link shows a piece that does not have any identifying marks on it,  it is only the poster who is attributing it to being Scandinavian.  It could just as easily be Murano or Chinese... so;

It might be best to list your glass as being a Uranium freeform art glass sculpture so that there are no repercussions such as 'not as described'.

In the meantime I will keep looking and I am sure others will as well.

The piece in the link is typical of those that have been seen with Davidson labels - only of course we don't know where they were really made.

Yours could have been made almost anywhere Pete.

I don't put makers if not sure so as you suggest Rosie I will list as above. Not until I have enjoyed them for a while.  :) cheers all.
