Murano unknown label
« on: February 22, 2014, 01:27:40 PM »
Hallo,
I'm new in this forum and I'm happy to have found you all!
I hope you can help me to identify this ashtray I've found in a second hand shop.
It looks very old.
I've try to find the label in forum's list but I failed!
Sorry for my english!  ::)

Hi Silvia, welcome to the Board.

I have removed the second photo from your post as it was the same as the first. Did you mean to add a different second photo?

Silvia one of the problems of the GMB is that many people are specialised in their knowledge.  Most of them don't look every day.  So it may take days or even a couple of weeks before a real Murano specialist looks.  I am not a Murano specialist.  However I suggest you start researching Mandruzzotto - I hope I spelled it correctly.  They are known for similar glass.  Another problem has been the amalgamations and renaming of factories in recent years - it is nigh on impossible to keep up with all the changes.
