Whitefriars or not?
« on: November 03, 2021, 12:45:50 AM »
It's been a while since I last visited here so hope all are doing ok 👍👍 I have dug out this vase
We moved a year ago!!
I think it is right but as it's been a while since I saw this I always have a doubt so would appreciate your thoughts. It is aubergine so my apologies for the quality of the photo.
Pete. :-)

not that I'd have known, but aubergine apparently appeared only in the 1972 catalogue - replaced in 1974 by lilac  -  it's a bit of a non-event colour, so perhaps that's why.       As you'll know, this is the coffin vase pattern 9686 - and very desirable.      I think the height should be five inches.
Ref. both Leslie Jackson and 'the big book'.

Good to see you are still sharing your knowledge Paul. Much appreciated. The colour is much better than the photos tbh and I did see every colour but this. I'm sure it will make a nice Xmas present for someone😁👍👍
