Topic: Victorian? pressed glass hen butter dish help please.

My feelings are this is Victorian by the colour and the feel of the glass, i thought i had found an 1880's Sowerby butter dish but i can not find the pattern anywhere, it is really detailed for a piece of pressed glass so it might even be modern i'm not sure, it was filthy and with two bits of 1880's Davidson i recognised, i have cleaned it 6 times and the dirt is still stuck in the grooves even after a good brush and soak. It's 4 1/2 inches in length and 3 1/2 inches in height, regards Chris.

These are still being produced in various sizes, 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4", 5" etc. in both the U.S. & Asia (Taiwan imported by AA imports). Maybe yours is older that I don't know, hopefully it is.
