whitefriars help plz
« on: February 27, 2014, 09:38:52 PM »
sorry if this is in the wrong place

Hello all

As some of you may already be aware there is a specialist glass sale taking place at Fieldings auction house in Birmingham on the 8th of March. Contained in the auction are numerous, original Whitefriars glass factory moulds. These, as others have pointed out, should be in a museum for people to enjoy and not in the hands of anyone who may use them for the wrong reasons.

I personally have a strong desire to buy them and place them in the museum of Harrow or London where they belong.

In order to have a chance of doing this I need your help!

I have set up a paypal account under the address of whitefriarsrescuefund AT yahoo DOT co DOT uk, with the expressed purpose of raising money through donations to buy the moulds. All money raised will be spent on that alone!

[Mod: email address above anti-spammed; change AT to @ and DOT to . and remove spaces for nprmal use]

It is a tall ask to achieve enough to buy them all, but whatever money is raised will be put towards as many of them as physically possible.

Please, please help get these items to where they belong.

Should we be unsuccessful on winning any of the moulds then the money will be refunded in full to the donator or given to a charity should they wish to do this instead.

Everyone who donates will be mentioned as a contributer when they are handed over to the museum.

Warm regards and thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide
