Barovier Ferro Seguso Figurine
« on: March 14, 2014, 04:54:34 AM »
A while back, I purchased this figurine.  It is a circa 1930's Barovier Ferro Seguso piece with it's original label.  I've never seen anything similar and know nothing about it.  The brown glass has a metallic iridescent appearance.  I would love to know anything about it.  Does anybody know what type of glass was used and a who may have designed/constructed it?  Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rick

Here are the label and base pics Rose.  I had overlooked posting the label.  You mentioned you had never seen this color combination before, have you seen anything similar but in different colors?  Also, do you know what type of glass this is made of?

Thanks
Rick

Late 20's/early 30's? The label rings a bell but it is rare...i think it is from the transition period when A. Seguso left and formed SVdA...

My books/info are packed away...move time soon!
