Glass Paperweight, SIGNED ?????
« on: April 02, 2014, 12:48:38 AM »
Hi there:

Just found this today.  I am assuming it might be Chinese (??) or Studio Glass as the bottom is NOT polished.  Bottom More like Chinese weights.   IS studio glass bottom done sometimes like this too?  Has anyone seen where a notch was made in the bottom for a Signature??

BUT what gets me is there is a place where it is notched out and there is a Signature there.  Can't figure it out....and not sure IF the first letter is an *M* or a *N*.   I think I got a pretty good PIC of the Signature but still can't figure it out!!

Mat Sadler   Nat Sadler

Mat Seller   Nat Seller

Mat Saller   Nat Saller
?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

...Or is it ONE word like MATSALLER ??    help

Any idea?  Height is about 2.75 inches tall.  Thanks for any help!!

It may be Matt Salley, he has Marble City Glass in Knoxville, TN., check his website and send him an email for authentication.

I googled the name Matsalle and got some hits on German and Scandinavian things but couldn't get them translated well. you might pursue that path.
