Hi,
I am putting these glasses up on behalf of an American subscriber. I haven't seen the glasses and am relying on her pictures and description (see below). They are not my period so I can't help her and hope that somebody else on the board, maybe in America, can help.
Her description:
"I have a set of 12 hand blown stemware wine glasses that were brought to the United States by an Irish high society woman who married an American soldier. These glasses have no seams, a mark on the bottom where they were blown, no two in the set are exactly alike and they do not stand perfectly straight. They are iridescent when light hits them. The woman who left these to me had many valuable items but never spoke of their value. Only on these glasses did she make the comment that they are "hand blown, very old and valuable". I live in a remote area and have not been able to find anyone with knowledge on these. After hours and days, weeks of researching I have only come to learn that they are very old but I dont know the specific time frame or where they could best be displayed."
Thanks in anticipation.
Neil
