MURANO VASE ARTIST HELP??
« on: April 05, 2014, 01:12:21 AM »
Hello, I received this vase from my grandmother and I can't find out who the artist could have been. It is the clearest glass I have ever seen and so heavy you can hardly pick it up. It says on bottom it is 12 in. but it is 14 in. to the tips on the side. It is green amber and clear with the holes on the top. Anybody have any idea who the artist could have been? Thanks in advance.

Such a beautiful piece! I love this colour way :)

Unfortunately I cannot help with the maker as many furnaces produced pieces in the colour way. It was very popular. At least we have a date for the piece though which sound about right,

Can you post label?

...or is it just a sticker someone wrote on?

Thanks ;)

HI Kane - Could this be SvDA? Sommerso in the 50's, not sure how many were making this kind of glass in those days?
Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.
