Bristol green wine glass help please
« on: April 07, 2014, 03:32:30 PM »
Can anyone help me out with a rough date for this please, it's has a lovely ring, a polished pontil, no seeds and very little wear to the base. It's one of five i picked up today there all in the same as new condition.

It's 5 1/4 inches in height, 2 3/4 inches across the rim and 2 6/8th inches across the base, regards Chris.

Hi Chris  -  I think most collectors would disagree with you regarding your description  -  not what is usually referred to as Bristol green, which is normally much darker than this.
My opinion on date would be c. 1870 - 1880.            And beyond that there is little to say   -  other than nice glass, and if you have five then great find. :)
