Rozendaal? globe vase
« on: April 16, 2014, 06:37:58 AM »
I have seen this in blue ("Clair de lune" apparently) described as Rozendaal for Metz. This 25-cm monster is in pale amber uranium and has a cut and polished rim. Any thoughts please

I am wondering if it might be related to this...

But I don't know what that is. ;)

Related to this perhaps? Not that I can tell you much about it.

John

Maybe related to John's pot but perhaps not my blue/green globe

Rozendaal is a good guess, the colour and the optical treatment seem to match, bur i cannot confirm with certainty. Ball vases were hip in the 1930s, both copier and rozendaal made them but i' ve seen german versions as well,

No, not Rozendaal (although perhaps 'inspired' by him. I'm reasonably confident that this one comes from the Belgian factory at Braine Le Comte.
