Ilkley pattern 1233 Query
« on: April 17, 2014, 05:23:23 PM »
I just purchased a part trinket set in the Bagley Ilkley pattern but I have a powder bowl which has a handle on the lid and is much larger than the large bowl in the set. It doesn't appear in the Bagley Book   so could someone enlighten me please ?  :)

No, but I have seen a very big one before, though I don't remember a knob

I've never seen this big one with, or without, a knob before. I wonder if Angela Bowey has seen one before?

Oooh I've just checked the Bagley Glass CD and found that Angela Bowey has a photo of a clear pot with a finial on it along with the two smaller sizes of pots without finials.... the CD text says, " A larger powder bowl with a knobbed lid was also made." So that answers my earlier question - she has seen one! :)
