A pair of clear glass candlesticks marked with design registration number 826844 (which would have been registered on 11 or 12 March 1938.

(Permission for the re-use of this image on the GMB granted by art-dec-glass&china).

RD 826844 not shown at

Is RD 826844 in the Blue Book? If so, I would be most grateful if someone would let me have the precise registration details, please?.

The candlesticks are certainly by Libochovice (pattern number 2061) and would originally have formed part of a Libochovice 2060-2064 trinket set. Set shown on page 47 of  the pre-1958 Libochovice CD-ROM catalogue that accompanies Marcus Newhall’s ‘Sklo Union…’ book – tray 2060, pair candlesticks 2061, pair large lidded pots 2062, small lidded pot 2063, ringholder 2064. Presumably another 'Hoskins & Rose type' design registration by an agent or importer on behalf of Libochovice.

Anne’s GTS site lists the set but only shows a photo of the 2063 small lidded pot

I can’t recall previously seeing any other photos of the pieces from the Libochovice 2060-2064 trinket set – does anyone have photos of the tray, large lidded pots or ringholder  (or even a complete set) to show, please?

Fred.

Confirmation from the ‘Blue Book’ that RD 826844 was registered by Hoskins, Rose & Co. on 11 March 1938. No surprise there, then.

Now some photos of an almost complete Libochovice 2060-2064 set:
Tray 2060
Candlesticks 2061
Large lidded pot 2062
Small lidded pots 2063
[lacking ringholder 2064].

(Permission for the re-use of these images on the GMB granted by The Debra Charity).

This set has 1 large lidded pot and a pair of small lidded pots, whereas the catalogue illustration in the Libochovice pre-1958 catalogue on Marcus’s Sklo Union CD-ROM shows 2 large lidded pots and 1 small lidded pot.

Does anyone have a photo to show of the Libochovice 2064 ringholder, please?

Fred.

I do!!!! It's rather big and heavy. No RD number on it.  Anne, feel free to use the photo for your GTS site.

Thank you, Eugénie.

Now we have reference photos for all the pieces in the set – excellent!
