« on: May 09, 2014, 10:13:27 PM »
This piece is signed( initialed L.S. ),dated and initialed again MR 6. Contacted Lunberg Studios about piece and they did confirm it was one of theirs, but said it was an after hours piece? Was hoping someone here would know what that means and perhaps could give me a clue as to who the MR artist is. Thnx for looking

I'll take a shot...after hours in all probability means the piece was not a production item & probably blown as a feasibility test item. #6 may refer to the 6th attempt...Fenton blowers used to number their attempts on new possible products & just about every day would sell them on the showroom floor. Some might make it into production, maybe 10% & the remaining 90% were just one off attempts. I imagine the same situation existed ( and probably still does at Lundberg). As for the artist if Lundberg could not tell you then its going to be very difficult to ever find out since blowers come & go & with a 1990 date well thats 24 years ago so who knows how many blowers have come & gone.
