I'm not sure. The dresses of the ones in the book are red pasta and very precise in shape. They are so different that it made me wonder if these were made by the same hands. The dresses of ottogrunf's figurines look far more melted. Could just be a variation, though. I don't know enough to say one way or another.

now I want to say one does not need to be a good mechanic to buy a ferrari sometimes you buy items from people absolutely reliable at the right price. years pass and objects are often imitated and imitation seem more original. these statuettes have been paid 860,000 Italian lire each in 1980 and were sold by Mr. Barovierin person.

Well, one of the Baroviers -- they are a big clan. Ercole died in 1974, so it was probably one of his sons or nephews.

I had a cowboy and cowgirl in the same style , I sold them a while back and they went to a Milan gallery and were sold on as Barovier .

Why do you feel it is strange, ottogrunf? Do you feel you are seeing copies? A little more explanation would be welcome.

the strange thing is that in some book you can see photos of patently false things that cause confusion seems that the false is true, then if you are selling in ebay a copy should write it and do not pretend that the original

Hi ottogrunf,

Do the first and last images in your Reply #14 belong to you? Or are they copies taken from another place? If they are copies and you do not have permission of the owner, they cannot be added to the GMB.

As per: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/board,22.0.html

Kevin, I don't think we're going to get a reply here. I personally suspect all the items in this thread may be copies based on Barovier's work. I could be wrong, but they don't look right to me. The dresses are messy and not shaped -- very unlike the ones pictured in texts.
