Am I correct that this WMF vase is a Wagenfeld design?  Also, is it possible to narrow likely production date?  Height is about 15 1/2".

Hi ginfor,
It's illustrated in Zeitgemäß und zeitbeständig: Industrieformen von Wilhelm Wagenfeld as model number 450.01, height 38cm (so approx. your quoted size), design 1950 as Ivo says, production 1950–65.

Robbo,
Thanks for the precise information.  Now I just have to decide whether or not it's worth trying eBay again.  I had nine nice listings that ended last night without one selling, several without bids.  Plenty of watchers, though, always plenty of watchers.  With the holiday weekend coming, it's probably not worth spending the listing fee.
