Orange gulvvase?
« on: May 30, 2014, 11:08:02 AM »
Hi all

On eBay right now there is a auction for a bright orange Gulvase

No sticker attached and I've done a lot of searching on Google and can't seem to find a definite answer if this is an original or one of the Italian knockoffs

So simple question I guess, did these originally come in a bright orange?

Edit: added a picture I suppose that helps! :)

It has the right form, so my guess is that it is a Otto Brauer floor vase. Hardernet is a great source, but they don't have everything and when it comes to colors, there was a lot of experimenting going on back then, so perhaps the orange one is just rare. If you notice the text at the top, it doesn't mention all the colors that are actually in the pictures on the page.

I suggest you look up www.hardernet.dk and make sure that Gulvases were made to the dimensions you have.  If not it will probably not be a Gulvase.
