well i think it's mdina, it's a very nice shape and colour, signed and dated on the base as in the photo, but who's Messerli ? if thats right and it says malta 1990

I think that's a really rather nice little piece. Sorry, but I can't help with any information and would suggest you contact Mdina Glass direct. Personally, I'm not 110% sure that it is Mdina, but am not too familiar with all their more modern ranges, particularly as their glass makers can of course produce one-off, unique pieces/designs from time to time.
