Topic: Could this be forest glass?

Hi all,i bought this because it's right up my street,wobbly,applied decoration and just a lovely colour,on closer inspection i noticed it has a lot of wear,flattening the glass in some places,it has a few small cracks with carbon travelling up into them and then a pontil mark of 3 small bits of broken glass,the surface is pitted with a slight iridescence looking from above and a trailled glass decoration seemingly pushing in the glass at times with a couple of large air bubbles in the rim.To add it's a bout 9cm high ,but can't find my tape measure,any thoughts many thanks,i should also add it's very light.

A better light,but a worse camera i'm afraid and i hope it helps to see the pitted surface in places,i don't think it's modern recycled glass and the wear on the foot looks genuine to me in the same places it wobbles

Gordiola possibly.

From 1719 maybe Ivo,it's very light but has extreme wear to a part of the thread of glass it sits,like a folded foot,and to two corners of the base.

Is there scavo inside the broken off pontil mark. If shiny then it will have to be recent

That's interesting,scavo is a new one to me Ivo,do you think someone has scavo'd the out side to make it look old? and are you just talking about Gordiola made glass,sorry to be a pest but this sort of stuff is gold dust to me,maybe someone has wet and dried the foot,seems alot of effort for a tenner.

It is simple.  If it is really old then the withering is all over.  If it is a chemical withering done on the blowpipe,  then the pontil mark will remain shiny.

in my case the association with Spanish glass is equivocal.
This vase I bought in TANGIER (Cosmopolitan city) Morocco.
I bought glass there: Scandinavian / French / Czech / Belgian / Italian ....
