Hi everyone,

I started collecting glass recently and am having trouble figuring out the ID on this piece. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Here's what I know:
Height: 9 1/2 inches. Width: 7 inches

I was told it is midcentury and Italian by the seller, but I think it was a guess on their part.

Welcome to the forum.

If it was a guess it was accurate, your vase was made by Fratelli Toso on the island of Murano likely in the 1950s or perhaps the 60s. One with the same colours and slightly 'flattened' form (some have handles that are more rounded) is shown on page 181 of Leslie Pina's book on Fratelli Toso.

Nice vase.

John

Another for reference, this one is made with orange and opalescent glass.

Hey. I appreciate the help. I went online and did some reading on Fratelli Toso. It's been a lot of fun. Thanks for making that possible for me.    :)

You're welcome. FT made some very nice glass, their tall decanters with pointy stoppers are particularly dramatic. They were also prolific, producing large numbers of bowls and vases.
