Lötz Ausführung 237
« on: July 01, 2014, 02:35:00 PM »
Finally a piece of "spatter" glass I was able to attribute to a maker...

Didn't know what it was when I bought it, but a quick search through Craig's great site showed that this is Lötz, Ausführung 237, from around 1920.
Height 10 cm, polished circular pontil mark.
So colourful (Uranium! Spatter! Iridescence!) ;D

Where is Mr Green when you need him?

It's my favourite "colour" - loads of bright rainbows, maximum clash and impact, I need Mr. Green too!
Do you have one in my size?

I´ll try to phrase it as subtle as possible:

Thanks for the kind words!
It is a lovely example, isn't it.

My 6th Lötz piece, all found within the last couple of months.

@Christine: I wouldn't have seen the Uranium content to be honest...
@Sue: only one size (so far)
@Dirk: don't you have enough already? ;) I thought you only wanted my Lötz cornucopia vase...

I think these small ones are even lovelier than the big vases ;)
