I now don't think the sparkly bits in the green are mica ...more like ground up bits of green glass ! But they do sparkle in the light  ::)  I don't wish to give any false information here ...my apologies . The lidded bowl lacks quality and might well be a red herring  :-X

Ground up glass would melt; could be mica in green glass or green aventurine

Thanks Christine  ;) Might well be green aventurine then as the particles actually look green in colour (a darker green than the green that surrounds them) and glint only when they catch the light at different angles.
